Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black choppered into the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in California on Sunday evening for a special USO screening of “Tropic Thunder,” USA Today reported Tuesday.

The comedy about selfish, pampered actors who go overseas to make a war movie and accidentally provoke real jungle warlords opens Aug. 13 in the United States, the paper noted.

AAFES anticipates “Tropic Thunder” will be included its overseas first-run program in early October, according to spokesman Judd Anstey.
