BAGHDAD, March 31 (KUNA) — A US marine lost his life in a bomb blast in Al-Anbar province in Western Iraq, the US Army said on Tuesday.

It said in a statement that the soldier was seriously wounded in the explosion that occurred close to his vehicle during a patrol mission in the province on Saturday, and that he passed away, on Sunday, after succumbing to the critical injuries.

The statement said additional information would be publicized after informing his family about his demise.
