Geren Says Army Funding Crunch Coming
Army Secretary Pete Geren said Sept. 27 he’s frustrated that Congress is continuing to dither on approving the money he needs to run the service in 2008, with some reports indicating lawmakers might not be able to approve next year’s defense budget until January.
