BAGHDAD, Jan 31 (KUNA) — Authorities located on Wednesday dead bodies of three professors who were kidnapped in the north of the capital on Sunday, the ministry of education said.

The ministry said in a statement that the corpses of the professors, who had taught at the Law Faculty of Al-Nahrain University, Dr. Adnan Al-Abed, Dr. Amer Al-Qaisi and Dr. Abdel-Muttalleb Al-Hashemi, were found today.

The trio "had been taken hostage by a gang of rogue elements" in the town of Al-Kathimiah, north of the capital, on Sunday. The professors had been snatched at gunpoint after finnishing work.(end) ah.
